$55: Single Healing Hive Session (one hour in total, a 5 minute intro followed by 55 min bed time)
Honeybee frequencies within the hive vibrate around 200-300hz, which helps to calm the mind, aid in pain relief, ease tension and reset your parasympathetic nervous system, shifting your body into a “rest and digest” mode.
Spend an hour in The Healing Hive, laying on a cedar wood bed, safely separated from approximately 120,000 local honey bees who are busy working inside their hives below you. You won’t hear a roar of bees but rather a soft humming that you may not even notice much, but your cells sure will!
You also breathe in air rich in propolis vapors, terpenes and negative ions, all of which are incredibly healing and therapeutic to your respiratory and nervous system and help boost mental health, reduce stress and regulate sleep patterns. Inside The Healing Hive, there is also an additional propolis diffuser to help you get the most out of this protective layer that the bee uses all throughout the hive.
What you can expect: A brief 5-minute welcome and intro is followed by 55 minutes of relaxation and grounding. Settle in. Quiet your mind. Notice and listen.
***If you are adding on a Bee Venom Therapy treatment, it will follow this session.***
What you can do: Relax and meditate, take a nap, bring a book to read or a journal to write in, or even bring your computer to get some work done. All you have to do is lie on the bed and let your cells reap the benefits of the bees during this gentle, meditative experience. The Healing Hive is a small chic shed with a beautiful scenic window overlooking a large pond and nature. If you’re needing a rest room during your visit, there is a porta potty down the hill.
BE SURE TO SCHEDULE WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE 65 DEGREES AND HIGHER TO ALLOW FOR THE MOST FREQUENCY/VIBRATIONS
Please refrain from wearing perfumes or scented lotions on the day of your visit, as the bees are very sensitive to smell. The same goes for food and drink. You are welcome to bring water with you, if you’d like.
Wear something comfortable and shoes that are easy to slip off.
You will not interact with the bees while laying on the bed, but be separated by two screens and wooden slats. There will be bees flying in and out of their hives outside and under the bed.
Add-on: Bee Venom Therapy (BVT). $20 per sting.

BVT (bee venom therapy) has been used and studied for thousands of years as a form of alternative medicine for its potential to ease join pain/arthritis, reduce chronic inflammation and manage symptoms of autoimmune and neurological conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. There are also many recent studies showing potential in helping to ease symptoms of Lyme disease.
How does BVT work? The active component in the venom, melittin, helps lower inflammation markers in conditions such a rheumatoid arthritis. when stung, your body naturally floods that area with white blood cells to help heal the sting, and in the process, the area receives tremendous healing. You can usually expect some swelling in the sting site, but as the swelling from the sting dissipates, the deep healing occurs.
Do the bees die with they sting? Yes, they do. The way we can wrap our heads around this and be comfortable with having a few bees die is in seeing the tremendous healing that occurs when they are sacrificed. Also, we only use older bees for BVT. Most of a honey bees life is spent inside the hive. The last “job” a bee has is to forage for nectar and pollen. We only collect bees that are outside their hives to use for BVT. Our queen bees lay between 2000 and 3000 eggs each day, so there are plenty of bees left in the hives!
How many stings does a person need to be healed? This really depends on how chronic the condition is, how long you’ve experienced it and how your body reacts to the venom. Many people receive tremendous healing after one sting and there are some who have recurring stings every week in order to achieve the benefits they’re wanting.
